The Band

Jacob's Well in Minneapolis, MN is a church for people who don't like church.  Almost two years-old, Jacob's Well has had continued success reaching out to people who have given, or who are giving up on church.

One of the key reasons behind this is because of their interpretation and use of music in their gatherings.  Not just with "church songs," but through what they call "pop tunes," the story of God is told.  With a full and energetic rock band, they re-interpret Gnarls Barkley, Augustana, Death Cab for Cutie, OneRepublic, Rhianna, Coldplay and many more, and show us that God's message--even though buried deep at times--is still there, waiting to be uncovered by any who dare to look.

This approach resonates well with a culture who is becoming fed-up with the lack of perceived value and relevance in some churches today.  Under the leadership of Nate Bergengren, a passionate and skilled worship leader, they keep finding new wasy to use these "pop tunes" to convey the truth about God.  Come join us for a Sunday and see for yourself.
