Have You Ever . . . . .
Had to swallow your pride? Eat humble pie? It so hurts going down. Have you ever had to do it in front of your sister? That makes it oh so much more painful. So I made this major life decision and there was some pride, fear and a healthy dose of self righteousness in the recipe that went into the thought process in making this decision, which I proceeded to loudly proclaim to my family and friends. So I am going along and my plan is working fine, I am making headway and making progress. I have picked a plan, I have a goal and I am reaching it because I am a resourceful girl.
Worshipping at the Alter
So a funny thing happened in California this week, specifically Southern California. It caught on fire and it is burning as I am typing. After Sean and I got married we moved out to San Diego and we were very poor. I was in law school and we were broke with baby. It is so hard to be in California and not worship money and lifestyle. This morning I am sitting in an office in Minneapolis and I am watching everything that I and my fellow law students worshipped just literally go up in smoke.
