The Band

Jacob's Well in Minneapolis, MN is a church for people who don't like church.  Almost two years-old, Jacob's Well has had continued success reaching out to people who have given, or who are giving up on church.

One of the key reasons behind this is because of their interpretation and use of music in their gatherings.  Not just with "church songs," but through what they call "pop tunes," the story of God is told.  With a full and energetic rock band, they re-interpret Gnarls Barkley, Augustana, Death Cab for Cutie, OneRepublic, Rhianna, Coldplay and many more, and show us that God's message--even though buried deep at times--is still there, waiting to be uncovered by any who dare to look.

This approach resonates well with a culture who is becoming fed-up with the lack of perceived value and relevance in some churches today.  Under the leadership of Nate Bergengren, a passionate and skilled worship leader, they keep finding new wasy to use these "pop tunes" to convey the truth about God.  Come join us for a Sunday and see for yourself.

Graham Peterson

We are so excited to have Graham with us.  He brings a level-headedness and servant-heart that is hard to find among musicians (amone anyone for that matter).  He is our "human metronome," so he is in charge of laying down the beat, so we can do what we need to do as a group.  He is our "glue".

1.  Where were you born? South Dakota
2.  Where did you grow up? Phoenix, AZ
3.  Where did you go/are you going to school? McNally Smith College of Music, current student
4.  What is your favorite song? There have been so many amazing songs that have been written and there is no way for me to choose one to be my favorite.
5.  What are your hobbies?  Besides music I love watching sports, playing Frisbee golf, watching movies, watching Arrested Development and Boston Legal.
6.  Where do you work/what do you do for money? I don't like to work so I don't.
7.  What is an interesting fact about you? I've played and beat three dogs at tug-of-war using my teeth.
8.  Miscellaneous itmes? Sorry ladies but I do have a super sweet girlfriend.

Kelsey Starrs

Kelsey has been a wonderful addition to this group. She brings a sense of worship and passion that really rubs off onto the rest of the team. We are so appreciative for her presence.
