Middle Schoolers get dirty
Getting dirty isn't the miracle, not for Middle School kids, but the fun they had - and all the work they did - was fantastic. Not a miracle, but remarkable and commendable.
Here they are on Earth Day clean up at Minnehaha Falls Park. Event sponsored by Jacob's Well as part of the Minneapolis Park & Recreation Board's city wide project. Read more here.

The Miracle of Simple Beauty
My daughter is up at Itasca State Park for the month on a research
project from college. She also just got a great digital SLR. This
photo of hoar frost on a red pine is the miracle of beautiful that nature
creates so easily covering miles and miles. And seems to think the effort is so easy that it lets the warmth of morning's sun melt it all away whether it was seen and appreciated or not.

Chalkin' it Up!
I think it's a sign!
Okay, maybe not from God, but it is a sign.
It took us far too long to get one up above our office... we were debating sign versus awning and stuff like that... but at long last we've got one!
I was driving by as Joe Lock, Dave Rulifson and Garrett Fuerniss were just finishing up the installation, so I snapped this with my phone. Thanks for the help, guys.

One Light - Two Flames
Big, yet Personal
At the Alpha & Omega service (5/20 - God and me in a really big universe) we talked about the paradoxical truths that God is both big enough to encompass all of reality, but yet intimate enough to care for us personally.
The snowflake depicts this. There are billions of them in every snowstorm, and there have been at least millions of snowstorms. Yet no two flakes are the same, each seems to have its own personal touch. That covers both extremes of the spectrum.
The beginning and the end... alpha and omega.
