The assignment was simple. Intrigue passersby with a question: What if? What if church wasn't a turnoff? What if I could find relevance in the pastor's message? What if it was OK to question God, faith, the world around me? I did what I could before the chalk ran out...
On Sunday our theme was "reFresh." The Sabbath, the quiet, the pause that helps us recenter our lives, that reminds us to "be still and know that i am God."
We had Dove chocolates in a basket for people after the service and my daughter comes up to me with the wrapper from her chocolate which had this message on it. If you can't read the wrapper, click on it and see a larger version - I'm not telling what it says...
