Stats From Project Homeless Connect
Here are some stats I received regarding Project Homeless Connect. Sound interesting? There is another event planned for December!

The April 28 Project Homeless Connect was a great event. Over 1300 volunteers assisted nearly 3000 guests in accessing the services they needed and also performed many support tasks to keep the day running smoothly.
These are some of the data from the event although much more remain to be tabulated. Please check our web site in June for a more complete picture.
Medical
• 164 received medical care.
• 61 people received eye exams, 60 received prescription glasses and 340 receive reading glasses.
• 341 people received dental assessments, 113 teeth were extracted, and 136 x-rays were taken.
• 24 people received vouchers for free dentures.
Legal
• 259 people received legal services including 102 civil cases, 40 criminal cases, 47 family cases, and 48 housing cases.
Benefits
• 239 received assistance setting up benefits.
Community Services
• 719 people received vouchers for shoes.
• 103 set up free Voicemail accounts.
• 67 signed up for library cards.
• 500 received free haircuts.

Wow, we make a difference!
This really is amazing. I am so proud of how many of those volunteers were Jacob's Well! And it wasn't because we organized some big event. We simply let people know it was happening, and people decided this is what it means to follow Jesus, and they wanted to do it enough that they did it! Cool. That's the kind of church people are, not that they just have.
It is such a privilege to be part of a church like us.
