Stop and take a look.
On Sunday our theme was "reFresh." The Sabbath, the quiet, the pause that helps us recenter our lives, that reminds us to "be still and know that i am God."
We had Dove chocolates in a basket for people after the service and my daughter comes up to me with the wrapper from her chocolate which had this message on it. If you can't read the wrapper, click on it and see a larger version - I'm not telling what it says...
I'm not actually claiming that God speaks through Dove chocolate wrappers (after all, the message on mine was just plain stupid.) But God does speak to us in many and various ways, and when we do hear and/or see the same message from more than one direction it does cause us to sit up and listen.
Service to celebrate the life of Kelly Schmidt - update
Hi Jacob's Well:
Wanted to provide a quick update on the service to celebrate the life of Kelly Schmidt. Overall we are in good shape: could use a pot or two more of beans and additional help. If you can bring beans or help tomorrow, please bring to/come to Bethel. Set up will begin at 9:30 a.m. and serving lunch will start just after the service -- then clean-up following the service.
